What Can You Do about Stress from Conflict in Your Life?

Is stress from conflict disrupting your life? Since you live in an imperfect world with imperfect people, you will experience stress from conflict. What can you do about it?

At the present, I am facing a conflict in my life, and have found some things to handle stress that may work for you too.

Pray.

First, pray. You need God’s wisdom, discernment, and protection. The stress from conflict may be more than you can handle without divine help.

Ask Others to Pray.

After that, ask your prayer warrior friends or a prayer loop/line to pray for you. You don’t have to tell them every detail of the conflict to ask for prayer.

Ask for Individual Specialty Help.

God may lead you to one individual, who specializes in the situation you struggle with. That person can help you clarify the problem and recommend action you can take. That may help you reduce the stress from conflict.

When I asked God to lead me to the right person, he gave me the name of someone immediately. I called that person, and we will meet in 24 hours to discuss the conflict.

Exercise.

You can also exercise. Exercise produces endorphins, which some call natural pain killers. Others call endorphins the feel-good neurotransmitters because they make you feel better, increase your ability to sleep, and that will reduce your stress. Pick a form of exercise you enjoy and will be more inclined to stick with. My friend, Cathy, likes yoga. I prefer swimming or walking.

Eat Right.

Eat foods that will provide you with brain power, such as turmeric, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, cauliflower, walnuts, celery, coconut oil, and blueberries. Perhaps you think you can’t afford that kind of food. If you cut out tobacco, alcohol, carbonated beverages, energy drinks, and fast food, you can afford foods that will improve your health. That will reduce your stress and make you feel better too.

Matthew 6:34: “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Prayer: Dear God, get me through this trouble. Amen.
