Psalm 126:6: “He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.”
When my mother died two years ago, I asked God to allow me to lead hundreds or thousands to the Lord.
A few weeks later, my only child unexpectedly passed away. I told God to forget the hundreds or thousands and let me lead millions to Jesus.
On Sunday as I boarded the plane to return home from the Christian Writers Conference in New Mexico, a nap sounded wonderful. However, a 92 year-old woman sat next to me. She said a family member worried she would go to hell when she died.
I asked if she would like to know for sure she would go to heaven when she died. She said she would. I explained God’s plan of salvation through Christ’s death on the cross for her sins. She prayed with me and invited Christ to come into her life.
I returned home with songs of joy. One day I will go to heaven and see my new sister in Christ there.
Dear God, help me carry the seed of truth to those who don’t know Christ personally.
Application: When will you carry seed to sow and return with songs of joy?
