Yes, Santa has a naughty and a nice list for forgiveness. Which one are you on? I’ve worked to be on the nice list for forgiveness.
If you’re on the naughty list, it’s not too late to let go of anger, bitterness, and resentment. Forgiveness has nothing to do with the other person. It does have a lot to do with your peace, freedom, and health.
I don’t know about you, but I value my peace, freedom, and health.
Have you thought about what you want in your Christmas stocking? I have. I want gift cards, discount coupons, and goodies, such as organic gala apples and organic carrots.
If you don’t settle the forgiveness issue before Christmas, you may end up with coal or snowman poop in your Christmas stocking.
As I look at my Christmas tree, I also welcome the gifts and cards under that tree.
Don’t you want to take pictures of a stocking full of nice gifts and a Christmas tree with lots of presents?
Please don’t assume I settled the forgiveness issue easily and by myself. It was a long hard battle, and I asked for help from friends, coworkers, and my mentors.
Perhaps you need help to forgive someone who deeply wounded you or your children. Talk with a trusted friend, a mentor, your pastor, or a counselor. You can also download free of charge “A Prayer of One Struggling to Forgive” at www.yvonneortega.com/free-resources/
Here’s to your being on the nice list, a great Christmas stocking, and gifts for you. Merry Christmas.
