Do you feel alone, lonely, and fearful of the future?
Is your heart broken from shattered dreams, losses, and disappointments?
Do you find it difficult to cope?
I get it.
Hope and healing are more than theories from a textbook. I survived divorce, single parenting, breast cancer, four car accidents in seven years, and multiple family losses in 2009, including the loss of my only child.
I NOT ONLY SURVIVED, BUT ALSO THRIVED.
You too can move from broken to beautiful. With honesty and application, I share my life and struggles through messages that help women to:
Find freedom as they forgive themselves and others.
Exchange the emotional roller coaster for God’s peace and power.
Experience hope and healing despite adversity.
Discover God’s will for their lives and live with joy.
I have a Master of Education in Counseling. My background as a licensed professional counselor, licensed substance abuse treatment practitioner, and clinically certified domestic violence counselor gives me a unique perspective on the heart of women. My counseling work in jails, prisons, and outpatient services adds depth and humor to my presentations, as do my years of teaching mostly high school and college Spanish.
I’m the author of:
- Moving from Broken to Beautiful® through Grief
- Moving from Broken to Beautiful® through Forgiveness
- Moving from Broken to Beautiful: 9 Life Lessons to Help You Move Forward
- Finding Hope for Your Journey through Breast Cancer
As a speaker, author, speaking and writing coach, counselor, and teacher, I desire to use my gifts to serve you. I’ve taught Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, and Precept Bible studies and was a children’s leader in Bible Study Fellowship.
My deepest desire is to use God’s gifts to serve you.
I served on the Advisory Board of Christians in Recovery and formerly served as the Regional Speaker Trainer of Virginia for Stonecroft Ministries and on the board of Kairos Prison Ministry at the Virginia Correctional Center for Women.
Please take a look around on my website. I post a weekly article on Thursdays and send a newsletter via email quarterly.
