MY BUSINESS MEETING WITH GOD
One month ago, I started a business meeting with God my heavenly Father. You read that right. I started it, fell asleep from total exhaustion more than once, and have continued the meeting to this day. I talked with God and waited for a gentle nudge. The Holy Spirit led me to a specific Scripture to read—Proverbs 3:5–6. It says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take” (NLT).
What happened at the business meeting with God
I told God about my desire to have a certain number of adults on my prayer launch team for book #5, tentatively entitled Self-care When You Think No One Cares. I poured out all my desires and expectations for this prayer launch team at the throne of God. I waited to receive his nod of approval, the peace of Jesus, and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Now I’m writing to ask you to join my prayer launch team.
My next steps after the business meeting with God
God placed on my mind and heart what he wanted me to do for his kingdom in my next book. Here’s the list:
- I promise to contact you more frequently.
- I pledge to give you specific prayer requests. For example, this weekend, I will work on revisions of Chapter 4 on sexual abuse and sexual harassment, Chapter 5 on trauma, and Chapter 6 on the role of rest in recovery and restoration. I will let the chapters “sit” and look at them again next week Tuesday.
- I promise my heart and soul will be in an attitude of humility as I write and rewrite because my strength and discernment come from my heavenly Father.
- With God’s help, I hope to finish my manuscript and submit it to the editor by May 22, 2023.
I will invite you to a weekly Zoom prayer session not only to pray for me and my needs but also for you and your needs.
- With God’s grace, I am writing to the honor and glory of Christ, and may you tell me when my work doesn’t reflect that.
- The book cover reveal will be only for those on my team.
- I will pray God’s blessings on you for your service but cannot provide you with monetary payment/profit or a share from royalties.
- I will not be your coaching client, nor will you be mine unless you choose to do so.
My invitation to you
- Please pray and ask God if he wants you to serve on my prayer team.
- If you sense God’s leading to do so, let me know via email at [email protected] or on my website contact page: yvonneortega.com/contact
- Pray for my specific requests and as the Lord brings me and the publishing team to mind.
- Promise God to read the PDF of the manuscript when I send it to you.
- Give me your feedback sandwich style: positive comment, constructive criticism, and another positive comment.
- Send me your favorite quotes from the book.
- If you know how to make memes or someone else who does, you can enter a meme contest for each chapter.
- Attend a Zoom celebration party and enter drawings for prizes.
- Purchase the book during the pre-launch and post a review about it online: Good Reads, Amazon, and/or my website on a page dedicated to the new book.
- If you have a podcast or know someone who does, invite me as your guest.
- If you have a blog, interview me on your blog or invite me as a guest blogger.
- If you purchase three books during the pre-launch, I will invite you to join my VIP group for a special Q-A on Zoom, a virtual behind the scenes chat with me, and offer a special gift card or books.
- If you lead a virtual group through my book, I will attend one of your virtual sessions, answer questions, and pray for you and your group.
- If you have any other ideas or suggestions, please let me know.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this letter.
Love & Prayers,
Yvonne

Jo Massaro, I’m so excited and blessed to have you on the prayer team. You’re a prayer warrior and a woman of integrity. May you be blessed as much as or more than I will be by having you on the team with me.Yvonne
